I hold a post-graduate degree (DESS) in professional translation from the Institut de Traducteurs et d’Interprètes (ITIRI) in Strasbourg. I’ve been working as a translator since 2003 both in-house and on a freelance basis. My job has enabled me to work in a variety of companies in France, the UK and Ireland, namely Electronic Arts, Goa Games, Big Fish and Amazon. I am currently based in the French city of Lyon and am a member of the Société Française des Traducteurs (SFT). I abide by the SFT’s Code of Professional Conduct.
My main fields of specialism are video games, international institutions, arts and humanities and corporate communication.
As a student, I followed a French “Classe préparatoire littéraire” in which I continued general arts studies for 2 years, after which I read history and applied languages at university. A career as a translator seemed a natural choice, fitting with my love of words and learning.
I have always been an eager reader with a curiosity for all things. I am passionate about mountaineering, literature, the humanities, especially history, and video games.
